Hydraulic brake lever made of carbon fiber

Here you can see an example of how 3D printing is also wonderfully suitable as part of the process chain and not just for the production of pure end products.

Jan has made a hydraulic disc brake for a mountain bike from pieces of carbon fiber mixed with synthetic resin. He printed out the required molds, pressed the carbon mass into them with screw clamps and allowed the whole thing to harden – and the unique piece is finished.

Brief description: This is a great example of how 3D printing can also be used as part of the process chain and not just for manufacturing end products.
